I am a student in college and I am on a budget. I found this laptop and I wanted to know if it is a good one. I need to know if it will hold up. The main purpose for this laptop will be school papers, few pictures, downloading music to put on an iPod and burn movies. Please and Thank You!!!

I wouldnt buy it,.
Since theres many others coming up for sale this After thanksgiving sale.
you should be able to get that machine for maybe $450
heres a circuit city deal for $399
same processor and same prettymuch everything actually.

ASIAN KID is showing you a computer with a celeron processor..its a little lower grade then the one you showed and the one I showed. (which are indentical processors)
But for your use you really could get away with a simple computer.
Youre not pushign the video card with school, music downloading, so its pretty much a good deal.
But that one you are interested in, is too much to pay for.
Id check with stores like Compusa, Newegg.com, tc...
best buy really isnt a place you go for computers....unless they are having a good sale

my laptop only lasted about a year. I wouldn't get one unless you really need a laptop.

it should be ok as long as ur no a heavy user on it meaning dont run to many things at once but ya it seems ok

enquire about the batter... HP has a 6 cell battery with will alast up to 3hrs...
My company uses them.... They are pretty good and you will have more that you need with that system..... the battery thing is important!!!!

I'd think that a HP laptop would be fairly descent, however, my stepbrother, a computer maniac doesn't like them. have you looked at gateways? They are descent.

wal-mart has some on black friday. better to buy local, if you have problems.
