I read the info on cloning, imaging, and backup.

What I really want too know is can I add a HDD too a my computer and transfer everything over too the new HDD and use it as the primary or Do I have too format and install the OS on it first.

Then transfer files too use that way.

Because if I am installing on the same system shouldn't I be able too just transfer The old HDD too the new and use it like the old.

I am running an AMD Athalon 64 2800+, 1.80 Ghz.
I currently have a GeForce 5700VE and am looking at a Saffire 100195L Radeon X1650 512 MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 (I saw it a newegg - item number N82E16814102084 at a pretty good price).
Will it work on my system? Will I see a noticable difference in video performance? Any other productive input would be helpful.
By the way...the $81 price tag is a huge factor in this choice.

First of all, I'm not sure what my power supply wattage is (any program I can use to see this?).

But well, here are my specs

P4 processor 2.8Ghz
512 DDR SDRAM
80GB HDD
128MB ATI RADEON 9800 PRO
PCI Firewire card
a Modem
flat screen monitor, of course. 17"
Two CD-RW bays
and that's basically it.

I'm planning on adding another HDD (200gb) and upgrading to 2GB RAM. Would I need to replace my Dell power supply, or will it be fine?

Well today I just bought a ScanDisk Cruzer USB Flash Drive.
I put this video thing I made on it...and it took up a lot of space.
Then I relized I added the wrong file.
So I just deleted it and added the correct one.

Then I noticed that I only had like 790 MB left [I got a 2GB Drive].

So how can that be if I deleted it?
Is there a way to permenently delete things?
Or will the space just keep on gathering up?

As I understand the mainboard must support the FSB of the CPU and the memory must run at the same speed as the the FSB.

So how do you work this out when an Athlon64 doesn't have a front side bus?

I just bought a GeCube Radeon X1050 PCI-E low profile video card, but it did not come with a low profile bracket (which I think is very odd). Where can I buy a low profile bracket that will fit this card?

We have an Xplio computer that takes DDR2 533Mhz RAM. It originally had 512MB of RAM.
We wanted to add more, and at Futureshop they told us we could use DDR2 667Mhz, so we bought 1GB of it.

Is there any possibility there will be anything negative from using these two different types of RAM?

Thanks!!

How do I get a video on PowerPoint?

Every single one I download, the PowerPoint says "Cannot display this type of sound or movie"

I don't get this anymore, I've been trying for over 2 hours.

Post your AIM/MSN/Yahoo here if you have time to walk me through it, if not an explanation is more than enough.
