what's more important Memory Ram or Video card?

I have a Dell pentium 4 HT-- 2.6Ghz with currently 512mb ram. with 64mb video card.

I want to upgrade my computer speed to play games such as age of empires 3 and quake wars and counter strike source.
I only have enough money to buy either 1gb of memory ram or a 256mb video card, not both.

I'm aware that video cards only make your games look better but memory ram makes the computer and games run smoother. In my opinion i care more about playing the games smooth rather than looking nice.
But i need to know you all opinions too.

which should i buy 1gb ram or 256mb video card?
This is just temporary until i save more money.

apple computers?

I have a Mac Mini Solo computer that works pretty well but I want something that has aleast a dual core processor. Im looking at the new Apple laptops and also the new Imac. I like apples designs tenfold than other computer manufacturers however the mac operating system has no basic gaming abilities. How hard is it to install vista or xp on a mac computer, and is it worth 1500 bucks for a mac with vista or something from sony. I'm looking for a high quality build laptop with some good graphics but i like the cheapest possible.

I need help with javascript and drop-downs.?

I would like a dropdown list to appear, then a new drop down list appears after a choice is made. The new drop down will have new choices that are only availble when a certain choice is made based on the choice of previous level. I want to be able to do this four levels deep.

HELP: I want to use Javascript to randomly see a line of text on a webpage !!?

I have a kind of particular problem which is I don't know how to use Javascript although I must create a simple page in a short period of time.

Anyway the thing is I have to create a "next" button or something and when I click on it, the page will randomly show a word among all the others, say, "Anywhere", "Nowhere", "Everywhere". Sure,I'm going to insert new words into the html document,however I don't want to see the same word before other words do not appear on the page. I mean for example "Anywhere" will not appear if both "Nowhere" and "Everywhere" have not appeared yet. If the other two words have appeared, then "Anywhere" can be seen again. The same rule applies for each word.

Could someone please write some code fragments for this specific problem ? and I want to know where to insert the entire code.. Thanx!

JavaScript - "Snippet of Code" modify to run Question?

Copy the example snippet of code & get it to run. Then modify the code so it
includes the message "Good Evening". Another IF statement should do the trick
