I am running XP and get a problem with shutting down, it takes absolute ages. Restarting is not a problem, just shutdown. I have been on Microsoft's website, but seem to be going round it circles.

Does anyone have any pointers please?

I need to update my paypal account as it is currently out of use for me, I think as I haven't used it for awhile and some of my details have changed. Can I do this over the phone with them? I got an email saying something about faxing info but I don't have a fax.

i have:
a dell 21inch monitor
1Gb RAM
Intel Inside Pentium 4

I'm into:
softwares
imaging
gaming
music (i use visual softwares for this)
*and i plan to install a TV card so i can use my 21inch monitor as a TV so i can save space in my room

i think i will use Asus Video card because my 128Mb was an Asus and it worked well.,

hi thank you all who answeredmy previous ?..now i face another one...by trying to solve the last problem abt ram&agp and i removed the battry on the board to clear cmos...now wen i start Pc it shows Cmos Checksum Bad...and Cmos Date/Time NotSet F1 to run set up & F2 to load default setup...but the default set up does not work...i solved the Date/Time problem.but the Checksum Bad i can't..plz help me out....i use an asus p5vdcmx mother board...

I searched google and found guides to shutdown and restart sing Scheduled tasks. But I need the computer to turn on at mid-night, how can i do this using scheduled tasks and without installing some other software?
