do large programs still run the same, is it a good idea..i hate having to reformat my hard drive..when my c drive is hit with a virus...
is it better to install every thing on a plug and play harddrive...

It will be SLOW. USB interface is slower than internal HDD interface (PATA or SATA). Consider the faster e-SATA interface.

no, its not better to install everything on a pnp hard drive - its madness! Youll just get the virus on your pnp hard drive, plus a load of other problems!

Im serious here, the best thing to do is learn how to protect youself from viruses and stuff. The best way to do this is to have a firewall on and make sure you know what it is you are downloading and installing. Lets face it, its not difficult to know what it is your downloading or installing, its you who is doing it!

If you suspect it could contain a virus, down download it and deffinately dont install it!

I use the internet every day now without virus software and i have done so for about 6 months. Ive never had a virus. Well apart from that stupid MSN one.
