I needed to clear up some space and I had run out of cd's so I formatted an old 3 1/2 floppy and copied word docs and wps. on to the floppy.
Now I'm trying to open the documents I can see them but I get this error box:

X The disk in drive A: is not formatted properly. Please check the disk, and reformat if necessary.

*cancel******** try again ******* Continue

Is the info on the floppy lost to me or is there someway to recover it ?

its that one spirit stallion of the cimarron and i am so lost, i cant do anything from even getting the dvd downloaded then riping the scenes then spliting them or w/e u call it then puting the thing together and adding music and all that stuff, plz help me i really need to no, iv been trying all this software trials but none work all that well so if any one can help me with a website that can show me step by step prosses or mabey u can tell me how that would b awsome thius meens alot to me, iv seriously been trying for like a month and it wont work at all, i can sorta rip scenes but not really like i got the dreamworks thing up and then couldnt figure it out, so can u show me step by step every detale all that plz? u would b the best of help thznks xoxo

Bought a lot of Linksys products. Desktop is accessing internet through a gateway. The Laptop (which is want to go wireless) is also wired and using gateway to access internet. Desktop can stay wired but Laptop was purchased to use wireless. Can I go wireless from Laptop to desktop and so I would be able to access desktops connection to internet lan modem. I tried the Linksys hardware and software but laptop will not work wireless.

I'm looking for suggetions on what kind of sound card I should get for a basic upgrade on a Dell Optiplex GX110. The sound components on it now (which are defective) are built into the motherboard, but I do have a couple of expansion slots available for an upgrade. Let me stress, I don't need a $100 or $200 super card with all the bells and whistles. Just something basic for my basic stereo speakers, and basic subwoofer. I can shop just as easily on line for a sound card as anybody, but I'm a bit confused by all the techno-babble specs these cards offer. Any suggestions?

My 1st drive is full but I had a 2nd slave drive installed. How do I add the 1000's of songs that I still need to add to the slave drive ? When I open the drive I placed a "Music" folder in their but when I start to transfer my music is transfers VERY slow , am I doing this right ? Please Help !

I have a toshiba satellite laptop.when it turns on,it works fine.then a black screen comes up and says there was an error starting and it gives me options to start with recent settings,normaly,or on safe mode.I tried all and it keeps doing it.when I go to start normally,the windows home edition loading screen comes up and then a blue screen comes up for like a second not giving me enough time to read.what do I do? Please help.it is a laptop used for church so it cannot have a virus.please reply at hugorganista@tmail.com

If a computer system is said to have for example an "intel 2 duo processor (1.8 Ghz)" does this mean it has 2 processors of 1.8 ghz speed, or 2 processors which combined give it a processing power of 1.8 ghz?

My tv doesn't have one of those plugins like the computer have for the monitor. So are there any that i can plug into the back of the computer that converts on the other end so that i can plug it into my tv so that i can have audio and video? When I boot up, the screen displays a magnified view with fuzzy edges on all displayed.
In Control Panel I change the 'settings' from the default of 640x480 to 1024x768 and it stays for the duration of current use but defaults when a restart or reboot is called for.
Any help gratefully accepted.

Using Internet Explorer 6 (sad, i know, but she's a creature of habit) we can look at various webpages, but the moment we go to log in to anything (e-mail, ebay account, facebook account, autotrader saved searches, etc.) we get Page Cannot Be Displayed, and very quickly, like the computer's not even trying to find the page.

128 bit security is enabled, SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0 and PCT 1.0 are all enabled.

I'm stumped.

have a HP Pavillion Laptop that wont start up. when turned on it directs you to a black page with the: open in safe mode, safe mode with networking, and best configuration, and start windows normally, ive did them all and it just send you back to the same black page with those options. how do i fix it
