Hi im trying to switch back to windows me to save space on my harddrive im on xp but i want to switch back and im doing what the instructions say online and it always says not enough space to creat dos partition. What am i suppose to do and how can i fix that problem.

It probably means that you have the ntfs file sytem on your hard drive, and WinME needs a FAT32 partition to install. You'd have to repartition the hard drive to make it FAT32.
I can pretty much guarantee that it would make your life a whole lot simpler to just spend a few bucks on a bigger hard drive and stay with XP.
You can try turning off hibernation support and System Restore first. Those two things can eat up a lot of hard drive space with XP.

I really would not suggest installing Windows ME, it's a very problematic operating system. How big is your hard drive? XP only takes up about 5GB.

it means that th partion size you're specifieing is more than what is available, you either reduce the size you specify or buy a more capacity hard disk drive
