MY CPU IS ACTING SO SLOW AFTER I DOWNLOADED LIME WIRE... IS LIME WIRE VIRUS?

Very possible that Lime Wire download also attached cookies to your computer. Go to your internet Tools settings under General and delete cookies. Then defrag the drive.

No not at all. But it is a memory hog and if you dont know what your doing you can get a virus from it. Dont mess with the programs section in limewire if your a newbie. Stick to audio. Also you may have limewire loaded more than once. Check the taskbar and right click limewire and click exit to exit out. If you think its hogging way too much memory. Press ctrl alt and delete, then go to processes and find limewire.exe under memory usage it should say how much limewire is using up.

Limewire in of itself is not a virus; however, file sharing has always been plagued with spyware. One common sign of spyware infection is a suddenly drop in computer performance. You should run a scan for spyware on your computer. If you don't already have an antispyware program installed, I suggest the free Spybot Search & Destroy, Lavasoft's Ad Aware and Microsoft's Windows Defender. You can find them all at:
