dear all i need help i don't know why my computer did not detect my USB drive.i thought it is because of virus but when i tried it on other pc the pc detect my USB drive and there was not virus in it.please help me

If it does not work on the USB ports on the front panel, try the ports at the rear panel. If it still does not work, try opening BIOS menu to check if USB is enabled. After powering ON, press Del or F2 to get to BIOS menu. Look for integrated peripherals then onboard devices. On other BIOS versions, it is in the Advance menu. Usually there is something there to enable the USB chip.

what windows are you using? lots of time XP and Vista automatically detect the usb drive but for other OS you have to install the drivers for the usb drive.

your usb is not being detected because your computer doesnt recognize the drive name, you need to r. click my computer, then choose manage, in there choose disc management,, when that pulls up look for your usb drive,, then click it and change the name, it will say change name or drive letter,, just choose something like x or s,, then click ok
