Does the professional edition include microsoft office programs like Word and Excel? I am starting college online in a few weeks and need to know what I need to get. Thanks!!

When I signed up with my internet provider I remember I accidentially chose broadband instead of dsl, I emailed my internet provider about a question I had and they told me I should find where I saw that I put broadband instead of dsl. Can anyone help me and tell me where I would find that on my computer. Thanks.

I recently bought a pc game (Caesar IV) which requires the october 2006 release version of directx 9.0c to run. But when I run the setup wizard of directx 9.0c, it appeared to be a message saying that the version I'm installing wasn't passed Windows Logo test and it failed to be installed. Can anyone give me a helpful answer to solve this problem?

My disk space has steadily dropped by 400 MB over the last few months and I couldn't figure out why. I always delete my internet files, cookies etc. in explorer. So I went to my c drive, right-clicked on all the files, clicked properties and recorded the used disk space from each folder. Today my total disk space dropped by 10 MB. I checked each folder's properties and found that "documents and settings" has changed by this amount. In this, the only folder that uses up a lot of space is "local settings" which is using 460 MB, and the only folder in this using up a lot of space is "temporary internet files" with 5311 files and 9 folders for 453 MB. but when i double-click it, it's empty. However, if i click on "folders" I see that under temp internet files, theres another folder called "contents" and in it are 8 other folders with tons of files from websites i visited months ago. is this the cause of my drop in space? Why didn't these files get deleted? is it safe to delete them all?

When I use my verizon yahoo browser my pc freezes when I click on a link that opens a new window. I dont have a virus or any adware or spyware, I ran a check for those with spybot and norton. Is there a way to find out what is wrong with my broswer and fix it. When I use a different broswer I dont have any problems.

My virus definitions expired and I keep getting these warnings that I am no longer protected.....I dont know if I want to shell out $40 a year for this service. Do you think its a scam, or am I gonna get slammed with viruses? I would think the basic program is enough protection.

So I followed the networking wizzard while setting up the networking from host computer to client computer in my home. NOw I receive following error message:
Mshomeis not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. the list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available. My network places menue shows the icon of My groups and My web sites on MSN. However, how do I know I can access and share the files on the host computer as well as the printer?
