I was messing about with the controls trying to improve recording quality and multiple inputs and then when I tried to record again it didn't work. What could I have clicked that stopped it recording any sounds?

there are 5 users and no one has more than 2 or 3 gb in their "my docs" files. My HD has 30 gb and appears totally full. Is there a way for files to be duplicated or any other explanation? Everybody stores their documents in yheir "my docs" file, and is mostly pictures. Program files and windows have no more than 3 gb each also. Thank YOU

I read somewhere that a Core 2 Duo with 2.14 GHZ is the same as a 4.28 ghz single core processor. Is this true? I am putting together a new computer and I want the fastest processor avaliable which would be the best Intel Pentium D 3.2 ghz, Core 2 Duo 2.14 ghz, or should I just get a AMD.

It says in the box to click on it and get the latest software to fix this,then I do and it comes right back.I know it's some kinda popup crap,but there's got to be I way I can find it and get it out!HELLLLLP ME!!!! i have a new HP laptop. It is 1.83 mhz athalon 64. I want to add an external drive. I assume that usb is the easiest method. however, new egg is asking me things like SATA and IEEE and 3934a or b and I dont know what these are or if i have them. is this a different connection on the laptop or is it a version of USB or is it important?!? I just need a good 60-120 gig hard drive external. HELP!

i just bought spybot ;nothing but trouble; a pop up blocker has appeared on my tool bar ; click on it it says notebook and show a long agreement with aol ;i do not have or want aol no way to get rid of it

I live in a college dorm and I have left my TV at home for space-conserving reasons. However, I own a PS2 and am thinking about buying a PS3, and I was wondering if there is an adapter or piece of hardware I can buy that enables me to plug my console into my laptop and play games that way. I never watch TV and the only reason I would want one is in order to play console games.

Can anyone provide suggestions that don't involve getting a TV, or am I out of luck?

The laptop was dropped and was unable to boot form windows. It gets as far as the loading screen, then automatically reboots. It was taken to my university's computer department to be looked at. While they said there was nothing physically wrong with the hard drive, they opted to replace it (covered under the warranty). They provide a backup service for school data, but not for music and pictures (the later of which are irreplaceable and are the goal for this issue).

Now, because they went in to do the back up, I know it is possible to access files, meaning that the drive is not fired.

My first attempt was to use a linux os boot disk (specifically slax) and got it running, however it would not read any hard drive.

What is the best way to get the files off without going to a unnecessarily expensive computer repair store (as they always tend to be?)

I have someone who I want to stop sending me emails but I want her to know I blocked her emails. Yahoo just sends them to the trash folder and she will never know they have been blocked.
