so i had a usb mouse installed and i took it out and plugged in a normal mose and it forze was taking out the usb mosue wut made it freeze should i shut down the computer everytime i install some thing new like a keyoard or mouse and close it when i am uninstalling the stuff to thank u

I have a 56k modem in a emachines T1100 (XP) with 1Ghz celeron and 256Mb RAM. It will not transfer data faster than 30Kbps. I've actually tried replacing the whole computer with an older one (Win. ME 566Mhz celeron) and it does the exact same thing, completely different system, hardware, etc. Is it something in the settings or is it the phone line or what? What can i do to make these work at full speed?

Ok here's the problem i have an 8mbps connection and well for most regular downloads and streaming video it's awsome!. but when it comes to file sharing programs i cant ever get the most out of my connection an example being i'm downloading this game about 3.5gb and well it's downloading like if i have dial up why???. i say this because yesterday i downloaded a very similar game in size and was downloading much much faster i guess what i mean to say, was that the fast file was downloading at 300kbps and the slow one is at 8-20kbps, i've got no routers and my modem is connected directly to my computer can someone plz help me out??.

I don't know what's up with it. I've scanned for viruses, spyware, etc, deleting cookies and files, etc, to see if it's running in my memory. My cpu says there's nothing wrong with that. I'm on it, doing normal things such as typing, surfing the internet, playing CDs. It'll freeze, and say that the program isn't repsonding. Somedays, it'll go smoothly, without errors. But today, it's really bad. Just recently, I got a pop-up saying that the virtual memory is low. Does this have anything to do with it being slow? Is there anything that I can do to get it to start working correctly. Please help me. Thanks

i built a new computer ( i also have a dell) it has a biostar motherboard intle pentium d processor 1gb of ram lite on dvd burner and western digital 250gb hard drive, i have ran linux on it so i know it works but why i try to install windows xp home OEM when it goes to the blue windows setup screen ans loads the things at the bottom it always freezes on one and its never the same one, i tried a different cd samething and a different cd drive samething. i called microsoft and paid 35$ for them to help and they counldnt figure it out and said take it to a tech shop. PLEASE help if you need more info just let me know and i will post it u can email me. also sometimes when im working with it my dell keyboard that is attatched to it will stop responding help on that to!!

Does anyone open spam or junk emails, anymore, I mean really I get a email and it says, "none" in the subject or you can enhance your Love, but its spelled like - anchnce yur lovee" I dont open anything that is spelled wrong! I want to purchase a large-format inkjet from Epson, but I have stacks of photo-grade tabloid-size paper that someone gave me. Literally, hundreds of sheets. I want to make sure that the Epson will take paper other than the recommended Epson brand. I have had no response from the manufacturer, other than to lead me on a wild goose-chase from tech email to customer email to pre-sale email. Yuk.
