I want to tarnsfer files between my laptop & PC , now waht is the best. i have a USB bable but i dont know how it works...?
Please help me

flash drive if u hav one. u can also do it wirelessly, or if u hav an external drive, u can copy paste on the drive, and transfer it over =)

U can USE a special cable called as an cross-over cable ......it will Just Connect Both ur Machines via LAN CARD(Connect the Cable via LAN CARD)
Once u do tat Just Right Click on ur Drives....and SHARE the Drive(or the Folder tat u wanna Share).....and u can Take d Files.....via Network Neighbourhood.

Have them both connected to the same network and just copy the files from one to the other.
You will need to enable file sharing on the host computer.

Best and cheapest option is to get a flash drive. These are also known as thumb drives. They are plug and play and incredibly easy to use. You can read more about them at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thumb_drive

Generally you can get one that has a capacity of 250MB for around $25.00

well its by cat cable
but u need network cards in both pc/laptop.
plug both together
computer with win xp
go to control pannel click networking then make a new connection n go trough instructions

Use windows tranfer files program, or simply create a backup image file which will copy 99.9 percent of your data and it would then be transfeered to your new computer.
