I've tried everyting!!!!!resetitng my computer,making sure it's not on mute,plugging and unplugging stuff,pluggin in headphones,everything!!!And it still doesn't work!!!!!is my sound card broken!?

There are no viruses, worms, or anything like that. I have Anti-virus and have scanned.

There isn't any spyware or adware, scanned for that and took all that was on off.

It's a laptop, my battery is a bit old (just over two years) but if I plug it in, should that make a difference?

It seemed to start when I put on my next subscription of Norton Anti-Virus, but I don't see how that would be the problem. I am confused.

It seemed to get worse today when I put something else on. (I have plenty of memory on the computer, so I don't think that is it)

I have a website and this is happening to me. Someone is sending viruses around and it has my email in the sender line and when people reply to the spam, it comes back to me. Are they using a program to do this or what?

ok i'll tell you the story. i have this friend and his mom died like 2 years ago i feel so bad that i can't remeber when. all i know is her name is ether sandy or sandra she died in september something i think 2004 anchorage alaska of an over dose. i kind of need to know because he always gets really sad when he thinks about it. i need to find out when she died. so i need to know some way of finding like a list of people that died that time, year or something. i've been looking on the computer but i don't know how

hi all,
just now I logged in messenger and received a mail of the chatters on my list posting a website about "debt controlling". Then another chatter on my list mailed me, he got the same mail and thought it was from me. It must have been a virus or something, it showed "Viva TermeX" on the top of every site name I typed and finally threw me out of the internet. I had to delete my temp. int. files and cookies and do a complete system recovery to get rid of it. (I hope I did) This was the first time that happened to me, did anyone of you have similar problems? If not, be careful.

HP 720 JORNADA, NEC 780 MOBILEPRO OR COMPAQ C-SERIES.

I'm would like to know what people think about any of them and are they compatible with a laptop (Windows XP)? I need something smaller than a laptop and easy to use. Please, any suggestions, comments, advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Have cable internet and trying set up internet connection for two computers, each using its own cable modem and jack in seperate rooms. I know, routers or wireless would be best, but this way is preferable for our situation. Can it work?
