You can use Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. It's free and makes a prenamed backup before cleaning what it has found to be bad registry entries. You can find it at any of the following:

downloads.com lots of free programs ...i would however be very careful with those type of programs they can sometimes really mess up a pc...need someone that knows how to go directly to registry and fix it...or u could have big probs that only reformatting will fix...and always scan any program u get for virus's, spywear, malware etc....good luck

This software clears the registry plus more - cookies, temp files, errors, etc. Run it Bi-weelky at least - you'd be surprised how much junk you can dump!
