JPG is JPEG already, older filenaming convention makes the name after dot 3-letter only so that kinda stuck even though that restriction is lifted already,
So just rename the file.

Just rename the file with a JPG extension - I tried it out and it worked.
No extra software needed - I tried it from the MY PICTURES folder, running Windows XP.

Joe D is correct. JPG or JPEG extensions are both acceptable as filename extensions.

Humm... They should be interchangeable.
You can always open the program with your image editor (eg: paint, photoshop, ect.) and file save it as a .jpg
