As I understand any Ethernet Switch has a back-plane of say so many Gbps. I want to know what does this 'back-plane' means ? Beside, the technical meaning of 'band width' ina Ethernet Switch is the same as refered to 'back-plane" ? Kindly help me understand these terms fully, thanks.

why?am i gettin this error when i download java is say.. error 1335 the cabinet file MSI37.tmp' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.This could indicate a network error, and error reading from the cd-rom, or a problem wit hthis package. .....im just tryi n to download it from http://www.java.com .I don't understand if u could please help me thanks alot ive been havin so many computer problems lately lol well hope u can help!

Hi ive signed up with yahoo! chat but the thing is, it doesnt change from a window that comes up and it tells me that if it doesnt go to the chat page it could be because of my firewall, norton sercurity,, and it says for me to disable or adjust them slightly, the thing is i dont want to turn it off but i dont know what to adjust to make it work, i tried turning the pop up blocker off but it didnt work. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do ? Thanks

I installed a pop-up blocker but I am getting pop-ups from one source now - OuterInfo. Does anyone know how I can stop this? I even get adult sites popping up and I don't like my son seeing these. Who is OuterInfo and how can I stop this? This is the only company/group/organization that I get pop-ups from. They show up every 30 seconds during certain hours of the day. Late at night it's about every 5 minutes. I'm getting pissed off! Help me please!

whne you burn a dvd, does it burn according to the time? like a dvd with 2hours will burn 2 hours of video ?
or does it do by size? like it would burn a video with certain bytes.

if it does by mins, is there anyway to compress video files withot losing quality?
