Money IS an issue, but would like to get the bestest, fastest, sexiest, CPU available. infinite explansibility. i just don't want what Joe Game Average wants. i want beauty, music, ease of use.

I am 16, about to get a job and I really want my own computer. So, I'm saving up for one. I'd like a nice one anywhere in the $500-$1500 dollar range. Any ideas? Suggestions? Tips?

Whenever i startup the comp, my monitor binks continuously. The light which indicates ON/OFF also flickers. Ive to restart my comp repeatedly (about for 1/2hr), basically trial and error until the monitor is okay.

It started when i changed my internet connection speed from 512k to 100Mbps. There isnt any loose connections i think. No interference either. How can i solve the problem?

My wife got this new laptop for school. The thing is, when you open it up and either start it or awake it from hibernation, it plays this annoying (and loud) sound! I've tried everything I can think of to kill it (setting all the sound events to 'No Sound', muting everything), but nothing works. Something must, because it's bound to annoy others in class. Any ideas?
