I've never had an Apple computer. I do have a Dell and have been very pleased with it.

I guess that depends on if you solely want a MAC or a PC. I'm going to purchase the 20" IMAC with the Intel CPU. You can use Windows in apple os using parallel and can dual boot with boot camp. Why not go with a MAC. What do you have to lose..? Costs a little more money, but its stable, not virus prone (For the time being). Overall I think for graphics, animation, and music, MAC is the way to go. Everything else.. PC..

Like many things in computers, it depends upon what you plan to use it for. One of the big differences between the platforms is the price - you get a lot more for your money when you buy a Windows PC than a Mac, but there are other issues. If you're going to be just surfing the internet, a Windows PC is a better deal since it's cheaper. If you're planning to play games, Windows is better because there are more applications and games for Windows than Mac. If you want to do video, graphic or music work, Mac is better because it has better software. Windows is better for simpler, business applications while Macs are generally better for more complex and artistic applications.

Apple is better for two reasons. One is the Mac operating system is much more advanced than Windows (no offense) and also the new Intel Macs can run both MacOS X applications that are made for Intel at native speeds and MacOS X applications made for PowerPC through a translator called Rosetta and Windows applications at near native speeds through either Boot Camp or Parellel's computer program (sorry I forget the name)

APPLES hands down, THEY CANNOT GET A VIRUS. I have had a eMac for a year and have not had a problem. You can even put Microsoft programs on your mac. I have Microsoft Office (mac edition) and can use my word documents on windos computers. They also take up less space and come with many features.

Macs can get a virus, it's just that they are uncommon so virus writers have no reason to make a virus for Macs, Expect to see more with the whole mac going intel. It will be easier to make portable viruses.
