We all use Screensavers for their attractiveness. But what is the actual use of it?
I have heard that if the monitor is displaying the same screen for a long time without changing, it can lead to pixel burnouts. Is it true?

Where is a good place to learn about software available for Ubuntu Linux? It is daunting to think of all the available software and have little to go on but a cryptic name. I have intermediate knowledge of linux but haven't played with it for at least 10 years.
I am really looking for a place that gives a discription, rating, user comments, and/or has them available for download or ship on CD (the free stuff anyway).

I need a top of the line, quality, Wireless Access Point with the ability to run 128-bit encryption. I DO NOT need a Wireless Router, basically, just a Wireless Hub.

I am currently using a Cisco 4800, but it is starting to act flakey and after spending $1675 on it several years ago, I do not want a WAP like it again. I need something less expensive, but SOLID AS A ROCK.

Anyone have any ideas? Please, if you are able, post a link to the PDF for the WAP in your answer if you don't care to. Thanks.

I am planning on building a new computer with three SATA drives. I am also planning to use Windows (XP or Vista) and Ubuntu Linux. What would be the best way to do this?

I envisioned putting Windows on one drive, Ubuntu on another drive, and have the third disk as a share for all my Media, possibly making that drive the biggest drive (500mb+).

Then there is the possibility of putting a windows swap partition on that third drive as well.
What do you think?
