i had to re-enter my outlook settings after my PC was repaired. Then y'day once I rebooted it, all of the settings were gone. How can I prevent that from happening?

I came across this same problem, but there is a solution and hopefully I can communicate what you need to do in text (Just so much easier to show people). Your outlook data is found in the following directory, (Make sure you turn hidden folders on or you won't be able to find it!) c:\Documents and settings\(user)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. In this folder you will find 3 or 4 files. These are your outlook data. Cut and paste them in an easily backup area. When you open Outlook the next time it won't find the required files. All you need to do is browse to the location where you placed the outlook files. Once you know where the files are they are easily backuped.
