Adobe Acrobat is best, buts its spendy .....

However, you can find freeware and shareware programs to create PDF files (which is what you need).

I prefer Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional. It will solve almost all the .pdf based problems.

Adode Professional 7 (its about $400), you can then print the e-book (or any document) to a printer called PDF creator, et voila you document is now a PDF
