I am planning on building a new computer with three SATA drives. I am also planning to use Windows (XP or Vista) and Ubuntu Linux. What would be the best way to do this?

I envisioned putting Windows on one drive, Ubuntu on another drive, and have the third disk as a share for all my Media, possibly making that drive the biggest drive (500mb+).

Then there is the possibility of putting a windows swap partition on that third drive as well.
What do you think?

Do the following;
1)Install XP first on 1st drive
2)install Linux second on the 2nd drive
3) format swap partitions for windows and linux on 3rd drive.

The reason why you need to install XP First is because windows won't be able to read GRUB/LILO MBR records.
