*Yes your correct, they are free at the court house- most of the time the only cost at court house is if you want copies- usually not free on line. Best to have both parties SS# and full names. If not, if you have a name, date, or year & month they were married most court houses are very helpful at helping you access the information your looking for. Good Luck to you.

Marriage and Divorce Records are maintained in the city where the marriage or divorce occured. If you want to request a copy it will cost you.... here is the website:
