She just got a top of the line Dell computer last year, and she cannot use Yahoo. She talked with the Dell company, and the internet providers. They said it was a browser problem. Could she install a different browser to see if it would work?

I have a laptop and I want to download vongo so I can watch movies. But I dont want crap coming through my laptop and cause a virus. So will my laptop get jacked up if I dont have router? I have the anti virus stuff on my computer that came with it but I'm not sure if that is enough.

Ok so I've been attempting to troubleshoot my laptop all day long and have made quite a bit of progress, but I can't think of anything else that could possibly be causing my problem that I haven't messed with. The problem--my laptop gets zero power. From the power cord or the battery. I know both of those work, because I tried them both in another computer today. My hard drive and memory also work fine. I have completely dusted out the insides, and made sure that there is no dust blocking the ports for the battery or the power cord. The last time my laptop was working I had told it to restart, and when it turned off during the restart it never turned back on, and since then has not gotten any powering on whatsoever (no light even comes on when I plug in the charger anymore). What else is there that could be causing my problem?

Am fixing a friends computer, lots of winoldap errors were coming up nothing I did would fix it. So I wiped the hard drive and began with a new fresh version. It crashed so bad after I restarted when all was loaded on and working that all it would do was restart over and over, so wiped it again and put fresh version and after a restart winoldap would come on, isn't a virus cos no virus can withstand fdisk delete partition command, so what do you think during one of the times I reloaded I got blue screen of death. Is it the end for the motherboard?

My daugter was staying with me for a time and used my laptop frequently. When she left, I discovered she had put a password on my computer stoping it from starting up until I entered it. I was able to get the password from her, but I want it removed. I am over 60 years old and want to be able to just start up my laptop without the password. I have windows 98 2nd edition - can anyone tell me where to go to get this password removed?

hi today when i started my windows xp and got to the log on screen i got this error message dllc../windows/system32/browsdll...is not a valid windows image i click it off log on i go to the desktop the message appears again and the desktop locks up with nothing on the screen but the desktop no icons of any kind i tried to fix this in safe mode does the same thing , if anyone can help id really appriciate it

I have a paper due in MLA style. The guide I'm using says
Set the margins of your document to 1 inch on all sides.
Then it says
Create a header that numbers all pages consecutively in the upper right-hand corner, one-half inch from the top and flush with the right margin.

The problem is that every time I create a header, it's at one inch, same as the margin. Wordperfect help claims there is a button you can use to adjust the space between header and the rest of your text, but I don't have the button it's showing. Someone help!
