everytime I try to go to ebay, computer screen reads : cannot find server, why? (the same with half.com and paypal, both part of ebay)

Ok I going on 3 years of having my laptop, and like always with my computers I own its not as fast as I've 1st got it (the DVD and video program has been my biggest deals as of late with it not running smooth all the time and DVD not running with any program and to make worse it wil play smooth for a secound only to max out computer utilites and turns the video to choppy to unwatchable). Usally I would just format and quickrestore but since I have no quickrestore, with that formating will leave me with no OS basicly means no laptop and being broke as I'm, I can't (and somewhat won't with all the freeware out their on the internet) buy software along the size like Norton (and out of respect I wont to download bootLeg) so I need to know what software download(s) schould I seek to optimize my computer, espically in performace and ridding my computer of anything that may want to compromise the performance of my computer.

there is a way i forgot it now, how you hide your email address from email harvesters when you are making a website?
there is html code that you can type your email address so it still works when the link is clicked but it can not be harvested.

I Have a Q. for all the technically minded owt thar...

I have a (Belkin) PCMCIA 802.11G adapter, and would like to know of the existence of any equipment/mods that would boost its range.

I would prefer an option that would not damage the item in any way, as I would like to rely on belkin's lifetime warrenty. But if neccissary I am capable and prepared to open and modify the device.

Serious answers only please. It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fewl, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

i know you can because i checked it somewere that if im using dos 6.22 i can enter UNFORMAT the folowing drive and it will unformat the formated drive ! is it true ? oh and does it mean if i accidentley formated my drive or its in RAW i can undo it ? manny tanx ! 10 points waiting !

When I try to copy music files to my PSP then it says Error copying file to removable disk, please specify path and file name (or something like that). What's going on? Is the problem with my lead, because it's one of those 4gamers ones which split into a charger which you can use to charge up your PSP via the computer

I am studying Java and have downloaded the package JDK from Sun MIcrosystem. I am running Win98 2nd.ed. I am trying to do the first example HelloWorld and it does not work. I typed the code in the Dos edit window and saved it, then like the book says in a second window I ran javac to compile it and then I tried to run it. I get an error message file not found. With text pad I get something going but still does not work and get an error message, I followed the help instructions and inserted in the autoexec bat the line C:\j2sdk 1.4.2_12 but it does not work.Getting desperate. Can you help?
