The junk mail I received went into my bulk folder, but it read the sender was myself. How can they use my email address as their
sender address?

Under "Mail Options," UNCHECK "send all junk mail to bulk folder."

Then, when you get them in your regular mailbox, which will be much less by the way, you can forward them to Yahoo as Spam. As a result of reporting Spam, Yahoo Mail Options automatically lists the Sender in "blocked email addresses," and also throws them in the trash.

If that doesn't stop it, then file a report with Yahoo to let them know you are having this problem, and that your email address is sending you Spam.

I had the same thing happen a while ago. Turns out the guys were spoofing my email address -- if you look in the header information, you can see it really isn't being sent from your email address, but it just appears to be.

Spammers do that. Everything is forged. Lots of people will be getting spam with your name and address as sender, too; or with somebody else's name and your e-mail address.

Fact of life.

It is called spoofing. They trick the computer into putting a false name in the "sender" field so that people can not trace the e-mail back to them. Spamming is illegal, so they are trying to hide their ID.

It's easy to spoof an email address. Fairly common these days.
