i have a variable in my movie clip.
when i use trace inside the movie clip it shows the right value but when i use the trace in the root level it's value is undefined.
i think it is a global variable because i didnt use var at the begining.
this isthe script:
on (release){
_root.asd2.gotoAndStop (1);
asd = "windows";
trace (asd);
this.gotoAndStop(2);
}

I have a Toshiba Equium M70-339, it is only a couple of months old.
I have to remove the battery and use the power pack to use the laptop. Has any one else had a similar problem?
I suppose I'm going to make a trip back to PC World for a replacement!!!
