You probably need a codec. Try either xvid or divx (Common format) or the nemo codec pack.
Also, what is the file extension of the file?

I get that for EVERYTHING i try to play with windows media player. I think it was because when I was cleaning my computer, I uninstalled some of the stuff for WMP. Now I just use real player. It works well (and even faster than WMP) and I never got an error!

if you are using media player 9 or higher(packed with windows 2000 or higher) try to install a XDIV player plug in. search xdiv for windows in net and install it . by using xdiv plug in you can able to view the clip in WMP.though xdiv also has its own media player (select the clip> right click>open with - then choose the program as xdiv )

in case you by no skill re-authured it , and bumped off the copyright once you copied it , thats your concern , yet i'm no longer able to tell you trouble-free approaches to try this ,because of the fact it somewhat is prohibited to do , in case you get caught, its a great advantageous ,plus federal detention center time now
