I have lot of software, media on CD's like audio and video and i worry about this software and media form being lost its like my treasure so what is the best way to make back up for these CD's with high compression? because i have lot and limit number of blank DVD.

I have an old pc (it is a pentium 1 MMX 233MHz, on Windows 98) that is not in use. I was thinking of using it to store my videos instead of saving them on my newer pc (pentium 4, win XP), maybe connecting the two machines. Do you think it would be possible? How do I do it? Thanx!!!

OK, this is for JAVA users...
I work in the MS DOS environ. My problem is I am unable to define a proper function to clear the output screen. All I do is define a function with a for loop which scrolls down by 26 lines - a thoroughly useless code for proper use. Can anyone devise a suitable code for me ?

Which of the two types of computers are more convinient? Which one will you choose and why? The laptop seems to be more convinient because you can carry it around. But I am trying to decide which one is better, other than the fact that the laptop can be carried around. Thanks for your input.

I have two computers in my office and one is connected wirelessly. Normally I have no trouble accessing the internet or the printer that is hooked up to the other computer but today I have had a whole lot of trouble doing both. It says that it unable to connect to the perfered wireless network and I have opened the Available wireless networks and tried to connected from there but it still wont. I'm not sure what to do. Instant Messanging is a way to "talk" to people online, however if you think about it IM is not really like talking or real life at all. Here is a list o f ways that IM is different than talking:
When we talk people hear what we say as we are saying it. In IM people get to see what we says AFTER we say it. Imagine when you are talking you say something and then you have to decide to "send" the message to your contact before the messange is sent to the contact, and when they do recieve the messange they can listen to it at there own pace and listen to it over and over again if they wanted to...

In real life we dont have a list of family members, friends and other contacts that are around you. If you want to talk to someone you have to go look if they are there or not. Also, in real life you can't see someone who is away or out to lunch or who is gonna be right back. Also you cant still talk to someone even if thet are busy.
