Myspace got hacked, and I'm afraid mine could be next. A lot of my friends have gotten hacked and racist buillitens are getting posted on their names. How do people do this type of thing?

This is how it was explained to me...

You'll receive a message from one of your friends (but it's not really from that friend, their page has been hacked and the message is from the hacker). The message will tell you to click on a link. After that, it will ask you to sign into Myspace (you are already signed into Myspace, but the hacker has created an exact replica of the Myspace sign in page. When you see the prompt asking you to log in, you may think that there's been an error that logged you off Myspace, so you enter your info. At this point the hacker saves your info. and can log into your account at their convenience and begin to wreak havoc!)

I don't know if this is true, but if you're sent a message that asks you to click on a link be cautious! If you are already signed into Myspace and it prompts you to sign in again, don't fall for it!

properly i will assume you're conversing approximately Myspace. This internet site has many comments that are despatched with the aid of cookies. like once you click on a internet site link it shops the cookies and those cookies have a undeniable code so once you pass to placed up a remark for a chum it shows are posting what you like however the cookie shows a perverted remark or image. Your account replaced into not hacked that's extra seen unsolicited mail. And Myspace would not care approximately this and could not do something approximately it. Myspace additionally sells your concepts to advertising companies as a result you get hundreds of unsolicited mail e-mails on your yahoo digital mail. Regards, Connor

Spyware and things that can get ahold of your passwords.

And don't go to so many websites offering free stuff. It is always a scam or some long drawn out process and not worth it.

But if you "create an account" on some of these bogus sites.....You would be surprised at the number of people that use the same ID and password all over the web.
