I networked two pcs together with a crossover cable. When I enable the network connection, one pc says aquiring network address. It eventually fails and I can access all the shared files. I do not want it to try to connect to the internet. and have went through the settings several times, to see if there is something that I missed.. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been building my furniture catalog website for a couple of months. I knew nothing when I started and had nobody to ask. I didnt even know how to make pics the right size. Well, I just published the bones of it and would like some input. I am not trying to sell anyone anything here and just would like suggestions on how to make it better or even if you think it is good or what.
My goal was to make an online catalog and I still havent figured out shipping or order forms. Well, any feedback would be nice. The guy I built it for cant even navigate in his own website, doesnt understand what the mouse does and I am getting no help from him. Thanks for your opinions, bad or good, just let me know please!

My laptop runs windows xp and media player has been working fine up to now. Got home from work and QuickTime was my new default media player and I don't know why or how it happened. It would be nice to have windows media player back as it has more options and is easier to use. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Don't tell me it can't be done. If it were, then how are things "digitally remastered"? There are algorithms that can do it im sure, but i have no clue where to look.

I've seen the police software where they zoom in on stuff in pictures and enhance it until it's nice and clear and they can read words and stuff. So it is possible to improve resolution.

What i want to know is what program (freeware, if possible) improves the resolution/quality and saves the improved version as a video file.

I have a asp.net page for search records from db. and i show that records in a Datagrid, from the Grid when i click the particular record's id, i redirect the page to new page, in that page i show the record in details. after i have seen that record, if i cancel from the page. it should be come to the search page again. in that search page the keywords for search previously, what i hve given, should be maintain, when i come back to the search page from the NewPage(Record view in detail. ) Anyone can tell pls how to do that?
