Data will be stored in Databases. So you need to learn a DBMS. Learn MS-Access if your application reach is small, otherwise Oracle.

For programming, look for Visual Basic. its easy and faster to develop.

You need to learn whatever system the company you work for use Hilton uses Hillstar some travel agencies use sabre you have to know what you will be working with and look for help accordingly
