There is no difference. Closing with the X is one click, the file its two clicks.

depends what it is. if it's spam and you click the "close window" button then you probebly now have i viris on your computer where it is less likely to get one if you just click the "X". but what i do is i go down to the bottom of the screen and where the window tabs are and right click the program there and click "close". hope this helps.

No difference besides the "X" is faster with mouse and the other one is faster if you know to use the keyboard very good... (example: "alt" then "f" then "x")...
