I have two PC's, both are XP. They are networked, I would like to use one to scan the other for Viruses and Spyware!
Is it possible? If so how would I set it up to scan regularly?

This is totally possible as long as they are networked.
What you need to do is the computer you wish to scan, goto your C drive right click on it and click sharing and security, then follow the instruction on what you would like to share. If this is a large disk with alot of files it could take some time to allow access.

Now since your computers are connected by network and you have set both computers to be on the same network, you will be able to use the other computer, by opening your network connections and seeing the C drive of the other computer.
You can then right click the C drive and which ever virus and spyware you use choose scan for viruses or open your software program and choose that drive from what you want to scan.

One word of advice since I have already tried this, depending on the system and your network this could take a long time to scan the other computer especially if your running 10/100 network and the computer inwhich you are scanning is like 20gigs of information. This will eat your network alive and if you plan to use the internet at the same time you can kiss it good bye. Plus if your network is not secure your leaving your C drive on the other computer open to anyone is not good at all.

It would be far worth the effort to simply place the software on the other computer and schedule it to regularly scan the system!

And if its something because of cost and you don't want to pay for it then try below links:
