Got a laptop and want to conserve USB ports. Bought myself a PS/2 to serial converter to use my PS/2 mouse, and it doesn't seem to work too well. I was thinking maybe serial port doesn't supply enough power for an optical mouse to work... i don't know.

Oh yeah... my laptop doesn't have a PS/2 port although some do.

Also wondering what is a good solution since I also game alot on my laptop since, hence an optical mouse is minimal for me, and I need to conserve USB ports too. which also brings me to the fact that I don't like the idea of bringing a powered USB hub whereever I go.

About 80% of the time while trying to load Yahoo chat I get some message that says "yahoo chat version 2.0 doesent seem to be loading properly" what is the deal???? My computer has been running really bad for a bit over a week. It keeps freezing ever time I use it. I've run virus scan and nothing is coming up. I have run spyware programs and the computer is clear. . When I check the Windows Task Manager the perfromance is at 100% with Internet Explorer taking up 99% of that. I know IE isn't supposed to take up 99% of the computer's memory. I've found nothing on-line and Microsoft if taking forever to get back to me. Anyone ever have this problem and know how to fix it?

Using outlook express as a mail client, and having corel suite x3, everytime oe closes it askes to compact the email messages, which for some reason is deleting my corel address book. How can I prevent the address book from being deleted??
