Burning a movie is a crime... your nothing but a common thief. I bet you steal out of Wal Mart too. Cheap a$$! They should make an example out of you and lock your a$$ up. If you can't afford to see it in the theater or buy it on DVD, you definitely can't afford bail money!

I would like you to remember that burning a movie downloaded from Limewire is in violation of the Copyright Laws and is a Crime. Distributing this is even more criminal.

This information is being given to you under the faith that you are not using it for any criminal activity in which I am in no way connected.

Primarily, you must understand that video clips that are shared in the P2P Networks are compressed in different codecs [compression decompression softwares] like avi [audio video interleave] or mpeg [motion pictures expert group] and so on and so forth.

To make a CD work, the image needs to be in a .dat format and in the case of DVD, in vob.

Therefore, you need to be able to convert the data from the avi, mpeg, mpg, divx, xvid or wmm formats that you received it in to dat or vob; as the case may be. This would be the first step.

The capacity of a CD being 700 MB, if the file size of the converted image exceeds this, you might need to "split" the data to share over 2 discs. Similar issues could be there for DVD where the capacity is 4.7 GB.

Then you could burn the CD or DVD with Nero.

Video converter softwares are very expensive and "ripping" is illegal, so the software you have given to you in the bundle by your DVD Writer vendor may not accept to burn this.

People who make these Pirate CDs or DVDs, use Decrypter Software, which is illegal and criminal, and are always open to arrest and punishment just for the possession of it.

I hope this gives you a clearer picture of the whole matter.

All the best.

Cheers.

It depends on what format is the video. If it is in the DVD format just burn the Video_Ts folder to the CD and it should work.
The VCD players do not play avi films. So if you have an avi and want to watch it on your tv you should first convert it to DAT or DVD format so that you can watch it. I recommend using Mpeg streamclip to do that. It is free, just type in google and results will show up.
The people who sell movies do not use standard DVD burners as they are too slow. They use industrial ones.

You do not need other software to watch a film on you DVD player. IF you have the standard DVD film or the VCD one just burn the files to the CD and it will work.

Often the video files that you download are in a .avi format which is not ready to be burned directly to VCD. You can convert many of these files to a compatible VCD format using TMPGEnc. Once converted, you should be able to use the NERO quick start option, choose video CD, select your newly created video file and burn. You can get TMPGEnc from here:

I normally use easy cd and dvd creator. you download the movie, and then drag and drop it into the menu of easy cd and dvd creator. Nero should be able to do it to.
