i keep downloading games, and it will say they are going to my desktop, but when the downloading is done, i cant find the games anywhere. not even in my documents, or control panel where are they goin?

Ok ya'll, I got a Dell Inspiron B130 for college and I'm afraid that it won't have all the media capabilities that I need....and I need a lot! It's called a Basic Entry Level Notebook, does that mean it isn't worth a crap? I just need to know what to expect from this computer. Is it good enough for college or should I upgrade? Someone who knows about this thing please help me cause I know absolutely nothing about it! Thanks ya'll!!!!!

I spilled Pepsi on my laptop! Now my Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 won,t work, help tech savvy people!?
All I can get is a black screen with white lettering.
towards the end it says:

Mouse Initialized
ERROR
Resource conflict-PCI Network Controller in slot 03 BUS: 02, Device: 07 Function:00

to load defaults (doesn't work when I try it)
to set up (brings up a screen with alot of stuff, I'm afraid to mess with)

Oh, and yes most of the pepsi got underneath the mouse buttons, and some on the keybaord!

Your help would be appreciated!

i know a wireless router is for so others can be connected anywhere in the house,but can anyone in the same house see your info.lets say 2 people & yourself were online at the same time,can those 2 people see what your looking at or is it blocked,if not how would you block that.thanks

I have a Toshiba laptop with french software and got it one and a half years back. I dont whats the problem but its very slow. I cant open more than two windows at a time and that too I have to wait for long. I have tried everything- like nettoyage (cleaning), Defragmantation but I dont know I cant restore it to a past point of time when it was running fine. Do you have any idea whats the problem? Is it due to some kinda virus or something else? And one more thing, can it also be due to Windows update and I had the option where the windows update was saved and may be had taken a good amount of space. But still i have 50% of free space. I am not very good at computer things so dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

Anyone here a computer genius? My computer has an issue some type of virus i think. This icon keeps poping up and it says my computer has detected spy ware to download this program to install protection tools. Which i know is crap.
I need someone to walk me through step by step to fix this problem. I can only open up certain windows and i do not know how to delete it or to fix it if it has done something to my computer.

I need to find ip address of computer through FOXPRO for DOS so as to authorize only those computers whose ip address is mentioned in the database of FOXPRO to run the DOS based programs. For this I need to find the IP address of the computer whenever the FOXPRO based program is RUN. If the IP address found matches with that mentioned in the DATABASE of foxpro the program should RUN otherwise NOT.

Can any one let me know how to do it in FOXPRO for DOS
OR if someone can tell me any DOS utility through which i can capture the ipaddress of the machine.

I want to make a Raid-1 array. I have 4 hard disks, a 100GB, a 30GB a 120GB and a 250GB. I want to make an array with the smaller ones to add up to 250, so with that array i make another array with the 250GB hard disk. Can this be done?
