My friend gave me his copy of Sims 2 and Ineed to give it back to him soon. Is their a way I can play gamess off my hard drive like Sims 2 or GTA San Andreas. Please dont tell me its illegal, I already know that. If you know about a vrtual drive program thats free and easy to use that would be nice also.

My computer runs fine but when I get on the internet it takes forever to open a page if it can at all. The provider just sent someone out and they replaced the modem for the 3rd time and it ran good while they were here but an hour later it was acting up again. My neighbor has the same service and hers runs great. I checked the speed and it says it's running at 100 Mbps. It doesn't seem right. My home phone line also acts up on occasion and it runs through the same line as the modem. I am at my wits end. The company isn't helping because whenver they come out to check it they just switch out modems and it runs fine for an hour or so and then it starts up again. I checked for viruses and there are none detected. Any advice out there?

Hey everyone,

My brother's fiance told me about this place, so I thought I'd try it out. I feel embarassed that I'm a tech geek who doesn't have all his files backed up, except some code backed up on a small USB flash drive.

Can you guys offer advice for what kind of a hard drive I should look for? The only brands I've heard good things about are Seagate and Maxtor. What should I look for when buying one and what's just useless fluff? I'm thinking that a external USB 2.0 would be best.

Also, any site where I can get a good deal? Or should I just browse pricewatch, fatwallet, pricegrabber, and newegg? I'm looking to spend $100 or less. I'd like at least 40 GB so that I can use it for many years to come, but I don't think I'll need 100s of GB or anything like that; I'd rather spend the extra cash on speed and reliability.

If you guys use any free backup software (or cheap software that's really good), recommendations would be appreciated there.

I read a certain person's myspace blogs all of the time because this chick is weird and a trip. It is amusing. I used to know her. She traced my views to my ISP address and knows it's me. She is getting mad because I keep reading. If I keep reading her blogs which are set for public view, is that considered stalking and can I get in trouble? I have never commented on her blogs, interfered in any way and am not the violent crazy type. I just like to read them, plus it amuses me that it irritates her a little. She lives across the coutry, but used to live here. What is your opinion?

Ok so lately my computer has these annoying popup things that are protectmypc.net, antispywarebox.com and windows security alert: check your computer for spyware...but i have scanned my computer sooo many times and there is nothing...last month this was going on for about a week and then it went away...NOW ITS BACK! Hi, I have a website and it has an insider section which only allows specific members with my authrization to log in to access some insider news and they have to pay annual membership fee for this. Therefore, I don't want the people who have the authrization share the password with someone else. Is there anyway that I could prevent such sharing happening such as restricting specific IP or limit the number of time the user can log on.
