It could be that your browser doesn't support 128bit encryption anymore. Check to make sure your browser is up to date.

Without knowing more details, it's hard to answer that. As in, errors, behavior, etc.

it can block any annoying popup ads. it can prevent most of the virus in the webpage, as you know, most of the virus is spread through internet.
