Called HP tech support. They confirmed my laptop is fine. They said this happens sometimes when yahoo email/IM is installed. Love the service, but can't continue unless I can get this to function properly! HELP!

how do i check these things? is there a monthly maintanace that i should perform? Im talking about basic things, in which i dont have to purchase a service or what not. I just reloaded win98 and stuck in an extra stick of memory and it still seems to be sluggish. I tried to run a video and it was way too slow. im using the latest version of media player and anytime i try to watch a video it skips and pauses. I just thought that an empty hard drive with double the memory would do the trick. if you have any thoughts let me know. Iv already scanned my disc, defragged, virus scanned and run adaware. what else could it be?

I have a 1ghz system which currently has a 20gb hard drive and I am planning on installing a seagate 80gb ATA hard drive on it. Just wondering if the motherboard restricts how much is installed (i remember reading something like this somewhere). I have checked and yes there is an extra connection wire and power wire available in the system to connect the hard drive. Thanx for the help.

Hi there, i've just startedhaving a go at doing web sites and was using something called webpage maker v2. someone told me that i should be using dreamweaver, and that i should move on to css and layer layouts rather than table layouts. so had a look for dreamweaver but its expensive and really can only afford free, so does anyone know weather i can use it online or something, or maybe someone has a not so recent version that they dont need anymore?
any advise would be great

Ok my ATI Crossfire setup says it needs 2 cards, one of them being a graphics card (in this case a Radeon X1900XTX) and the other a being a X1900 Crossfire edition. Do these cards both work together to provide better graphics or do the two cards just help one another with the load?

I have several "catch all" folders on my desktop for housekeeping purposes. (All my game shortcuts in one, all internet apps in another, etc.) And by default, I have these set to be displayed as Icons. Occasionally, windows will change the views to "list view".

Now, this is not linked to system reboots (rebooting the system doesn't trigger a reversion) but as yet, I have been unable to find what is triggering these.

I have a problem with the windows on my computer not minimizing right, every time I get on the internet or a program on my computer and click the minimize button, they don’t go onto the taskbar. When ever their not on my screen I have to use the task manager to exit out of them. Why aren’t they showing up on the taskbar? What can I do to fix this?

Every time I run my Ad-Aware program, it pops up with a message after the scan saying it can't remove a particular thing. I searched it, and it's called Spooler SubSystem App. I read that it's for printers, but I don't have one hooked up yo my computer. It's rather annoying.
