Hi there, i've just startedhaving a go at doing web sites and was using something called webpage maker v2. someone told me that i should be using dreamweaver, and that i should move on to css and layer layouts rather than table layouts. so had a look for dreamweaver but its expensive and really can only afford free, so does anyone know weather i can use it online or something, or maybe someone has a not so recent version that they dont need anymore?
any advise would be great
thanks
susan

Dreamweaver is a seriously professional package for web design and therefore will cost a lot. There is no way as far as I know to get or use it free at all.

Whilst Dreamweaver is better, it's what I consider being a waste of money.

Stay with Webpage Maker V2 or other packages.

:-)

I'm afraid Dreamweaver will never be free. Unless supplied illegally. What you can do is get discounted products at bulk suppliers online (search dreamweaver on google and it returns lots of shopping results) or you could try something like eBay where people could be selling unwanted copies for a discounted price.

Hello Susan. If you have a Craig's list in your area, and most major cities do these days, post an advertisement there. Someone should be able to help you either by finding some software for you or by helping you to design a web page for you.

Craig'slist.com (take out the') good luck.

1)buy it
or
2)download it

... unfortunately, those are your only options. I'd recommend you punch whoever told you to use Dreamweaver in the face and go to cnet.download.com. You may be able to find a WYSIWYG editor there on trial (or free).

You could also d/l Dreamweaver, but that would be illegal. ;)

If you are a student (HS, college) or state or fed employee, you can often purchase Adobe products at a reduced cost. Check with your school or the Adobe educational store.

The disclaimer is that you can only use it for your own personal learning

You could buy the software, or try downloading from limewire.
