Cannot read from the source file or disk.’ Some of the files originating from exactly the same source were successfully copied.

I can create a shortcut of one of the problem files onto the hard drive. When I try to use the shortcut to open the document in Word I get prompted for a password, type in the password but another refusal message appears. All this is very slow—you see the hourglass for minutes and can hear the CPU churning-away.

Important question: is this a virus matter? Can you tell me how to solve the problem from the ground up? How would you perform the purging? Or else are these files doomed? Are we all doomed on this planet??? [EVIL LAUGH]

I have some media (video files) with a rmvb extension. I cannot play them on my real player. If I try, it asks me to install some missing codecs. Is there a way I can play these files? Where can I get this codec. I do not want to install spyware or viruses associated while downloading codecs. Is there a trusted site where I can find a spyware free/virus free codec?

I recently wrote an article about how Google Answers won't allow people to ask questions about Google ( more here, http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/060622-081535 ). At the end of it, I asked people to come here and answer whether this should be changed. How about people already at Yahoo Answers. Don't you think this should be allowed. Is there any good reason for Google to not allow this? Yahoo Answers doesn't prevent asking questions about Yahoo on it.

i could not able to add the 256 mb sd ram in the other module of mercury motherboad.! company is HYNIX.

MY SYS CONSISTS OF:-
windows xp sp2
64 mb sd ram
intel celeron processor 601 mhz..
please tell me how can i add the above RAM IN the second module
when i add the 256 MB RAM
"WINDOWS COULD NOT START D:\ XPRTM\....ASDPI.... PROBLEM AN UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURED"
