What do u prefer Dell or Gateway?

I've owned two gateways and believe me this last gateway I purchased will be my last. They have no longevity to them at all, even if all you do is word processing or the most basic of computer functions.
My fiance is a Dell man and he has no complaints. I've never purchased a computer from a store but I don't feel comfortable with that. So I will try Dell next. He has no complaints so we will see.
But definitely NOT Gateway...

You can get a Dell for a cheap price. If you spend the extra dollars, you can get better quality in a Gateway.

Dell because I have a Dell notebook and love it. I haven't had any experience with Gateway.

Dell is from hell. we have a gate way and it seems like the gate way into heaven (for a windows based system) i would recomend getting a mac then u can add bootcamp and win XP. that way u could start up your apple with windows or mac operating system
