I am moving from TX to Vancouver Canada. I have to drive my two big dogs. Has anyone had good/bad experiences with renting a 26' U haul truck? I am a 50 yr. old lady with no big rig experience. I will be alone with my dogs. It's approx. 3000 miles. Is there a better rental company? Thanks.

Im starting to look at cars for when im 18 but i want a car thats really economical like the 2004 Honda Civic hybrid that goes about 50 mpg city. But i also want it looking sporty like a Mitsubishi eclipse sort of. I really liked the Honda CRX, but in 4 years, the car wont last me a while. It will be old and dying. So what could u recommend me? Thanks

Our esteemed top contributer dodge man, who just happens to own a shop be a certified mechanic and college proffesor.

He has (mostly) incorrect answer to every question placed in the motor section. If he is all of the above as he tells us in every posting how come he has time to answer all these questions?

In summary is my suspicions correct in believing he has no job, no wife and no friends so in turn spends his time trying to get points on a questions board?

People that live in the country and not just for the 'school run'. Its to protect their children in an accident they say. In the town, they sit in traffic jams, rarely go through a puddle. Most of them never ever use the 4 wheeldrive facility, I doubt they would know how to either.

I remember in the early 80's some car makers coming out with diesel engines in passenger cars.
Nobody liked them. My grandparents hated their diesel powered Cadillac and couldn't wait to get rid of it.
So if diesel is so lousy in cars, why is it preferred in semis and heavy duty trucks for that matter?
I understand the basics. Gas explodes and diesel burns. But what is the advantages and disadvantages?
