I find it strange that he has to qualify himself over and over again.
But he probably does own a "shop" and has been a mechanic for years but he doesn't have a lot of work and therefore has plenty of time to give his opinion.
Like others have said maybe he is just trying to help and he thinks that he is an expert.
He does admit that he is not always right. So I say let him be. Atleast he isn't rude and obnoxious like some on here.

More than likely he's just an overweight, lonely man who can't wait to get home and spend his next 8 hours on the keyboard.
His grammer certainly doesn't suggest that he's a college graduate, however.
A few of his answers have merit, though.
Been a critic for 36 years............ ha-ha!

I've found his answers to be pretty good myself. After 36 years in the biz, he should know his stuff.
Why have you singled him out, when there are so many smart aleck answers on yahoo? At least, he is trying to help others. Right or wrong, he is trying, and that's a lot more than some of the others. How about spending your hate on them?

Yes!! Dr. Z is a selfish, no talented know-it-all who doesn't even have a bachelors degree in installing a "AA" battery. If he tried to even spell 'Chrysler' or 'Dodge' or 'Jeep', he would probably have to rethink his entire Oil to Skin ratio for waxing his head.

give me a break. Dodge man knows his sh**. are ya jealous hes over you?pissed off cuz he can fix your car and you cant?He gives you the best advice he can based on your info and you slap him in the face.I have a job, wife, and lots of friends and I still get on here to try to help. But how can you answer some of these questions?example---what is the spark plug gap on my car? how in the hell can we answer that. Some people shouldnt be driving let alone fixing their cars.Dodge man does the best he can with what he has to work with, dont get me wrong theres some good ones on here but a lot of them are just dumb but he and i try to help.Look at how long hes been doing this on here then look at you then me.Do the math and average it out.Ive been here 1 month less than you and Im on your heels.Compare that to dodge man and we are on here just as much as him.So that means we have no life as well.We take time out of owr life to help you keep your car running and thats the thanks we get.I say keep up the good work Dodge man we r counting on you
