Question is this, 13 mph is well below the speed limit. And given the same details from the previous question about the accident, could the municipality be held responsible? Also I know there are 2 plows and the municipality isn't big. I think the entire population is 3-4000. I also know one road is plowed by the state and is in the same municipality. That road is usually very decent, even in tough weather. I know some are gonna ask why didn't I go that way? To answer that, I was bringing my mother to the hospital as quickly as possible. I would think driving carefully and the roads not being plowed would be the responsibility of the municipality. They have the man power, where were they?

Recently I have had a problem with someone unpugging my extension cord from the block heater on my car. With temperature falling below zero here in the winter it is pretty important to have the block heater plugged in overnight. More recently someone has stolen the extension cord. I am looking for a solution other than sitting in the vehicle waiting for that someone to pull the plug or steal the cord again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i ran into an old friend, and we ended up dating again, all in a few weeks of us hanging out he wanted to know if i would sign for a car for him so he would have a way to work. I told him I didn't think I could do this due to my credit..but was willing to help if I could. So I found this place that does not run your credit but you do have to pay every 2 weeks or once a month..he put $1000 down and I signed for this car, he assured me that because we were together there wouldn't be any problems. We got the car on a Wed and spoke to him through Saturday which he was avoiding me in between these days(at least I thought he was)..we hooked up on Saturday night and he then told me we were moving too fast and needed to slow down, I said okay but what about the car, he said not to worry. haven't heard from him and he has not paid the note which was due 2 days ago, the dealer told me to report it stolen, but he claims the car broke down but refuses to take it to the dealer so they can fix it..

I was about to begin fueling and a little kid with a huge SUV backs up and hits my car. the back of his truck had a small inward dent. theres a little peice of metal/hard plastic BARELY sticking out of mine. (you could put your thumb over it to cover it up) He and I talked about it, we both didn't know what to do. I let it go and told him it was okay. He repeatly apologized etc. My parents got PISSED since it was my mom's car. I didnt get the guys info but I do have his plate number.... now what do i do? How do i find his number or contact info and get ahold of him? Should he pay out of his pockets? someone pls help

I have a 2004 Kia Optima,The base engine is a twin-cam 2.4 liter four, about 138 hp..I was racing the other day,and I was burned by a 2004 [or so] toyota corolla, who basically beat me because he had stick shift...took off the line very rapidly,as to my automatic, who did go about 125 mph down the rural road...he also had an exhaust and who knows what under the hood..My car is completely stock...anyways,I want to know what I can do to make my car faster...what sort of items should I add to make for a decent foe? my car tops out at around 135 or so,after 125 it's hard for it to pick up more speed...It also has a 2 gear manual option, which I have no idea how to use,I'd like some info on that as well...I'm not too bright when it comes to cars,so i'd love some help on what I can do to my car..should I do an engine swap? get headers? etc...I have a few thousand dollars, which i'm willing to spend on my car...any help is appreciated!!

I am trying to make a budget on how much I would need to pay to learn to drive. I've heard some say you need about 50-75 lessons and at a cost of about £25 per lesson that seems ridiculously high!!! I'm estimating about 30 lessons which is still a fortune. Is this too optimistic?

I have a '99 volvo S80 with the security package (including an interior motion sensor, inclination sensor, and primary battery/ backup battery powered alarm). If a tow truck driver were to tow my car the alarm would go off, it's very sensitive. Is there anything they could do to my car to stop the alarm while it's going off? Otherwise the person would have to deal with the alarm for quite a while. This is obviously speaking in terms of towing I didn't authorize, no one wants to come back and find their car missing from where they left it.
