As others have said, the VW pickup (no longer made), Rampage/Scamp (no longer made), Subaru BRAT (mostly AWD), Honda Ridgeline (pseudo-truck).
These are all basically automotive-based vehicles with light-medium duty drivetrains, unibody construction and they are not for any serious work. Their main advantages are car-like handling, comfort, good fuel mileage and less truck-like styling.
Front-wheel drive is not a good choice for trucks because you primarily want your driving wheels under the cargo when you're loaded for traction and good handling. Check out any large commercial truck. The only large heavy-duty vehicle I can think of which used front-wheel drive are the older GMC motor homes which used a Toronado/Eldorado type front transaxle and dropped rear coasting axles to get the floor height down. They worked very well because of their light load and are still in demand today.
In other words, the ideal situation with a vehicle is 50/50 weight distribution and putting front wheel drive under a front-engined truck with an open bed would be closer to 70/30 and very unstable.
For any heavy-duty truck, you want to go with a standard frame-mounted, front engine, rear-wheel drive or 4WD with a split bed seam so it can flex with the weight and load. The only full-size trucks in the US like that are the ones from Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Nissan and Toyota.

There are such things, but they don't sell any in the United States at this time. The VW pickup in the early '80s and the Dodge Rampage / Plymouth Scamp are both front wheel drive, although neither one is very easy to find these days. I've seen a few things in South America that appear to be front wheel drive pickups with Chevy badges - they're about the size of a Geo Metro.

Front wheel drive is generally incompatible with the design and duties of a truck. First, a pick-up already is front heavy with front wheel drive even more weight will be shifted forward. The truck would be unstable. The other issue is durability. FWD cannot take the abuse that RWD can. I don't know about the VW the other guy mentioned, if it was made there is a reason why they stopped making it, it was junk.

The longest answer isn't continuously the main suitable. This guy above me probable would not actually have a driving force's license. it incredibly is been my adventure that the only factor 4WD does for the time of the iciness is get you greater into hassle till now you get caught. 2WD is sufficient in case you keep on with plowed roads, and it will get lots greater effective gas mileage too. do no longer 'FILL' the mattress with sand. 4-5 sandbags, weighing 50-seventy 5 lbs each and each is amazingly some weight if placed quickly over the rear axle. you additionally should placed funds right into a good set of snow tires and carry tire chains to slot the rear wheels.

The only one i know of today is the Honda Ridgeline, Built off of their Honda Accord/ stretched Odyssey minivan platform, it is front wheel drive and part time four wheel drive if you opt for it, it uses the same V6 engine off the accord and Odyssey,
Im sorry but don't like a minivan platformed "truck" i laughed at how they call it a truck but people now a days just flock to whatever is new and different, without reading the "fine print"
My two cents

Early 80's plymouth scamp and dodge something. Based on the omni-horizon chassis. Saw one towing a small mobile home with 5th wheel hitch one day, could not BELIEVE my eyes.
