1970 torino 140mph last i looked before the S turn 1/4 mile away. fliped it .on roof .slid to giant tree stump . bumper taped it lightly put small dent . pushed out roof . couldn't tell . little 8 oz miller bottles every where . full !

Well I have the opportunity to live in Germany.. the Autobahns.
I have had my (now sold) E320T Mercedes upto just over 170 mph for over 30 minutes.
My 500SEC Mercedes tops out at 166mph and when the traffic and road conditions allow I will run at that speed all day, except to get gas... and if I can keep it up there without slowing and excellerating for other traffic or governed speed zones I get around 20 MPG too!

225klm and i run out of road i reckon it would do 260klm
ive got a 6cyl falcon now and if it wasnt speed limited it would do 250klm no probs, its factory limited to 182klm and it gets there no probs
on the hume hwy in nsw aus ive had a ford LTL truck doing 197klm rolling off the hills with a fully open 425hp cat 15sp o/d on 33's it handled the road really well at that speed better than a car its actual top speed was 190klm flatout on open road towing fully loaded dropdeck taughtliner max weight 42.5 tons
after i left that job the next driver was caught speeding and got the truck deregistered for over speed threee times speeding

I have a Kia Optima,completely stock...I've done 130 MPH at the most,simply because it's hard to keep on going after you come up on traffic..So far I've won about 2 races and lost 1,that's when I mostly speed..I try to keep it cool though...speeding kills my gas mileage.

I got my Ford Mustang GT up to 125 after some tune ups, but got scared and stopped after that. It would probably get faster, but yeah, I was afraid of getting caught and or possibly dying!

140+ buried the speedo on a 1968 Plymouth GTX 440 Hemi, that was FUN! I figure I was doing 170+ when the temp gauge was topping out.
