In California, to legally drive (at 15 1/2), do you need a permit AND take your first behind the wheel lesson, or just the permit. (please answer only if you are certain)

I recently had an oil change done at Jiffy Lube (even though I usually go to my mechanic.) While my husband drove on the interstate, the oil drain plug flew out and the oil spilled out. He actually heard and saw the plug fly out behind the car and the oil light came on in the car. He got the car to the mechanic and they said that the plug had not been replaced properly during the oil change. They told us this could have caused serious (and expensive) engine damage. We were told to contact Jiffy Lube and let them know the situation so that they may be liable if there is engine trouble in the next few months.

1. Can they be held responsible for not replacing the part correctly?
2. I know I can contact the BBB, but what else should I do? Do I write a letter to the owner of that Jiffy Lube?

Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated.

Also, the car is only a 2004 and there was no prior damage to the car (such as a wreck) that might have caused the plug to come out.

I'm looking to buy a new car soon, and as of right now I drive a car with automatic transmission. I want to get a manual transmission car and was wondering if that's a good idea. I've never driven a manual car before, but I have read up on it and watched some videos. It just seems to be hold the clutch, switch gears, let go of clutch and gas. Do you think it's a good idea to get a manual car? or no? Would I just make a fool out of myself test driving one?

The wiring diagrams in the book are difficult to understand. I want to talk to the company for help but there is no number or website in the book. It is a Nitro 2-Way Remote Start, it also says "Powered by BMW."

When I am driving in the backseat, I like to stick my head out the window like a dog. I just like the feeling of having the wind blowing across my face. However, the other people in the car don't like it because they get cold. I really enjoy having my head out the window, what can we do?

hey, i have read how to drive manual car, but it never said how to turn it off. I read somewhere you always want to leave it in first gear when you turn off the car, but if you release the clutch when its in ANY gear, it will stall and the car will die. How do you safetly turn off the car? please give each step thanks

I've noticed at my work as I walk into the building a obscenely large SUV parked in one of the handicap spots everyday. Now, this SUV is raised some 2 feet off the ground and outfitted with some sort of off road package. What bugs me is, if your so infirm that you cannot walk very far and need to use handicap parking, how does it look to drive a vehicle you need a rope to get into. Its not fitted with a lift system for wheel chair access so it just seems like BLING to impress people. What do you think?
